Cat

As cat owners, you know the joy that these loving creatures bring to your life. Naturally reserved and independent, cats still manage to surprise us. Does your kitty run around the house at full speed just for the mere thrill of it? Or maybe climb into bed with you in the middle of the night? Either way, we know how cats can make us smile.

We also know how important it is to keep your cat healthy and happy. That is why we make it our life's work maintaining and improving the health and welfare of your pet.

The Flea - Tiny but Dangerous

Fleas - Tiny but dangerousFleas can cause problems that mere scratching can’t solve.

Flea bites are responsible for the most common allergy found in cats – flea allergy dermatitis. Of course a flea bite is uncomfortable and cats will scratch to seek relief, but this in turn can lead to skin infections.

If a cat ingests a flea while grooming, the flea can transmit tapeworms, one of the most frequent – and unpleasant – internal parasites for domestic animals.

What’s more, a severe flea infestation can lead to anaemia, especially in kittens, sometimes in older cats.

Fleas are dangerous to your cat – it needs regular protection.

Parasitic Worms

You can protect your pets and family simply by worming regularly in consultation with your veterinarian. We love our pets and they add to our lives in so many ways. But as pet owners, we all need to be aware that most cats and dogs carry parasitic worms at some point in their lives.

Worms can be hazardous to your pet’s health and also potentially to the health of the people who come into contact with it, causing zoonotic diseases: diseases that can be passed from animals to people.

Fortunately, it’s easy to get rid of most worms and massively reduce the risks associated with these worms.

Kidney Disease

KidneyKidney failure is one of the most common health problems suffered by cats, particularly as they grow older.

But there have been a number of exciting scientific developments in recent years and there are now ways of slowing the progression of the disease. Perhaps more importantly, new treatments can improve the quality of life for a loved pet suffering from kidney failure.
